Job Description

Job Summary and Scope:Manage and coordinator the growth of profitable sales with current customer base and targeted customer segments in order to increase market share.  Manage and coordinate the implementation of sales and marketing strategies.  Increase customer satisfaction.


Job Responsibilities: 
 

* Conduct monthly sales call and ride-withs for each sales professional. 
 

* Plan, develop and attain sales and profitable growth for business segment consistent with company goals. 
 

* Manage margin levels by constant monitoring and implementation of pricing policies.  Maintain focus on order profitability. 
 

* Hire, train and manage sales workforce (company policies and procedures, employee communication, performance monitoring, feedback and reviews, mentor, coach and develop employees, and identify training issues). 
 

* Manage and sell to select accounts/clients and act as additional resource/contact for target accounts. 
 

* Maintain statistics for monitoring and driving of core supplier alignments and performance to sales goals.  Provide feedback to VP – Sales Core on action plan for improvement to meet goals. 
 

* Maintain awareness of current market share position, competitors’ strategies, tactics, strengths and weaknesses and communicate information to business segment management. 
 

* Review and manage aged receivables and council sales professionals where problems exist. 
 

* Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Skills / Experience / Education Requirements:
Good business management skills, product and market knowledge, communication and leadership skills and negotiation skills.
Education:Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Business Administration and/or related fields

Experience:Five years relevant outside selling experience or extensive industry and product knowledge.
 Working Conditions:
Physical Requirements:Regularly required to talk and listen, drive a motor vehicle to travel throughout assigned territory, and lift or move up to 10 pounds (occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds).  Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb in and out of vehicle, use hands and fingers and reach with hands and arms.  Percent of time traveling: up to 50%.

Job Description

The Packaging Program Manager is a high level program management position for Unisource Global Solutions (UGS).  Packaging Program Manager's must be well versed in retail packaging, print technologies, and the global supply chain.  The candidate will have a direct interface with Fortune 100 companies and will be responsible for owning projects through design, development, and global deployment.   
The role develops annual goals and objectives for each customer working with the UGS Business Development Manager. The Packaging Program Manager will be required to support strategic accounts in the Austin area to determine customer requirements, working with senior leadership within the customer, and supporting product development and account growth strategies for the customer.
These requirements can vary based on type of work performed in locations, type of products produced, and our role in either providing product directly or working through sub contracted manufacturing. This position maintains an on-going broad knowledge of product supply base and activities in all customer locations to enable UGS to maximize solutions across locations and identify broader opportunities for sales growth.

* BS in Engineering, Packaging Science or a similar discipline. Advanced degree is a plus
