+ Knowledgeable on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, welding and HVAC to perform repairs on all facility equipment as required

+ Perform the required activities of the Control Room Operator and Outside Operator while working with other assigned personnel in the performance of all shift activities in a professional manner. Activities include the operation, maintenance, and performance monitoring of all equipment; testing and treatment of plant water; creation and maintenance of plant records; extensive use of personal computers and distributed control systems.
  
+ Maintain high professional, personal, and equipment safety with environmental consciousness while adhering to compliance standards and practices.

**Primary Purpose**
  

  
Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for relatively complex systems and on a number of smaller projects or portions of a larger project for the installation/removal/modification of utility infrastructure on Exelon's electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecommunication facilities/systems. Performs field engineering and provides designs for both internal and external customers. May coordinate, track and monitor the electrical requirements of New Business projects to meet customer need dates. Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
  

  
**Primary Duties**
  

  
+ Develops designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of material for relatively complex systems and on a number of smaller projects or portions of a larger project for the installation/removal/modification of utility infrastructure on Exelon's electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecommunication facilities/systems. This may include activities associated with customer contact, scheduling, engineering and construction of New Business installations, removals and relocations. (80%)
  
+ Interprets and applies engineering standards and memos. (10%)
  
+ Assists with technical consultation, plan developments and recommendations for customer and company systems and processes; (e.g. Verify and validate studies, blueprints, or designs against accepted engineering principles and practices) (5%)
  
+ Evaluates effectiveness of current design processes. Participates on teams; (e.g. Design high voltage transmission and distribution circuits, meeting all engineering standards and criteria) (5%)
  

  
**Job Scope**
  

  
+ Develops construction drawings and material requirements for relatively complex systems associated with utility infrastructure installation, removal or modification. Works independently under the direction of a lead engineer.
  
+ May respond to customer needs for service by evaluating standard versus required facilities in order to develop charges for customers that have financial and operational impact.
  
+ Responsible for financial requirements associated with projects that support the Asset Investment Committee (AIC) / Project Review Committee (PRC) process.
  
+ Applies technical knowledge to help promote a safe work environment and to enhance customer satisfaction.
  

  
**Minimum Qualifications**
  

  
+ A bachelor's degree in a technical field and 0-3 years of technical experience, an associate's degree in a technical field and 2 - 5 years of relevant technical experience, or 5-7 years of technical experience or equivalent education if non-degreed or a non-technical or engineering degree.
  
+ Successful completion of the Technician Occupations Selection Systems (TECH) test. (A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university exempts the TECH Test requirement.)
  
+ Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
  
+ Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.
  
+ Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
  
+ Good knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific discipline installation, or service.
  
+ Proficient Computer Drawing and Computer Assisted Design skills.
  
+ Valid driver's license.

**Preferred Qualifications**
  

  
Relevant education/experience is knowledge and/or skills that may be acquired through job experiences or education programs similar to a formal technical degree program. Relevant experience includes experience in a military role (transmission, distribution, gas, power systems, etc.), project management, journey-level electrician or gas technician, field operations, or other utility related experience, as deemed relevant to the role. Relevant educational experience includes company sponsored training programs (ex. PowerUp Academy) or other educational programs, as deemed relevant to the role. The equivalent relevant education / experience requirement is in addition to the position's minimum experience requirements.

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc.  is currently recruiting Management Trainees who will receive hands on training in all wage and salaried jobs to learn to manage a shift or an operational area in a service center.  Once hands-on training is completed in each area the trainee fills in as a supervisor on various shifts and departments.  The trainee will learn to manage a shift while emphasizing safety, quality, efficiency, service and delivery.  The trainee also completes assignments while being assessed through knowledge indicators, writing papers, viewing management videos, recommending process improvements on operating procedures.  Participates in Old Dominion Truck Driving Training program to receive a CDL license, participates in forklift training program and management and leadership training courses as scheduled.

+ Complete shift manager’s training as an understudy with an experienced manager or supervisor.

+ Fill in as a supervisor on various shifts and departments.
  

  
+ Completes department/area knowledge indicators and develops new indicators as well as process and procedure changes.

+ Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.

+ Order zones and drop shipment categories, following prescribed ordering practices, as assigned by the Store Manager.

**GENERAL SUMMARY:**
  

  
The Assistant Store Manager helps maintain a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. At the direction and delegation of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assists with supervision of store employees, management and presentation of merchandise, completion of paperwork, and preparation of deposits.  The Assistant Store Manager also performs stocking and cashiering functions, and performs other duties as necessary to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets and reducing losses.

+ Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers, and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer’s purchase.
